Mixed Media & Unique Typography
Formally an anti-digital Fine Artist who turned into a passionate Graphic Designer.
One of my earliest memories as a young kid is of sitting on a plane with my family on our way to visit family in Costa Rica with a sketch book and few broken crayons drawing Santa. See for the moajority of my life I was anti-digital. I lacked rawness, it lacked “skill” and it lack creativity, or so I thought.
It wasnt until one art teacher in my sophomore year high school, Mr. Bowles, changed my mind. I was sitting class and he had asked me what I wanted to do in college, I had sheepishly responded my saying “an artist.” He resonated with my response but offered a suggestion, of course without knowing my thoughts. His suggestion…Graphic Design.
I considered his suggestion and 6 years later have fully immersed myself in the world that is Graphic Design. Channeling the same inspirations that inspired the fine artist inside. My designs have developed into storybooks for the passions of other through the lens of their personal culture, unique medias that draw in texture and inspire underrated typography.

The story start with "ever since I was little I loved art" but I promise you I actually loved art.
Art went with me everywhere, whether at my desk in La La Land or on plane or even on my math exams, art was a constant present in my life. I loved art so much that I was loyal to it and by this I mean art was strictly fine arts and studio arts. Art was not digital because digital was "cheating".
It wasn't until my junior year of high school that a teacher asked me what I wanted to do as a career... I insecurely answer back with "I wanna be an artist". He recognized my insecurity in my response and offered an alternate route where I would still be able to be creative but also make a livable paycheck, enter in Graphic Design.
After some convincing I allowed myself to explore Graphic Design and began to fall in love with it and the new techniques that could learned.
Although design isn't always art, you can definitely always incorporate it.

Once I figured out what I wanted to after high school, I quickly got enrolled in my first semester at the local community college, Antelope Valley College.
It was at this college that I took my first "Digital Media" course where I got my introduction to Adobe Creative Suite. Initially I struggled and almost gave up because there was so much to learn and seemed at the time incredibly difficult.
After about 2 years of pushing through and continuing to learn how to use and understand Adobe Creative Suite, I finally finished with an Associate in Studio Arts and moved on to figuring out where I wanted to continue my education.
After much research, non-acceptance letters and college visits, I finally chose to go to Liberty University in Virginia. I packed my bags in December of 2021 and moved across country to finished my last two years of schooling.
Fast forward 2 years, I graduated from Liberty University in Spring of 2024 and began my career in Graphic Design.

Although fine arts and graphic design are typically my main and primary passions, I do have other creative passions.
Art History - during my college education I really enjoyed learning about the beginning of techniques, the creation of mediums and content that was painted.
Old Churches - this passion ties in with my passion for art history but differs in the sense that I am more fascinated by the architecture, the stained glass, the incredible detail in the paintings that gears the congregation towards seeing and feeling the glory of God in the space.
